Will these GPU boards support Catalina?

I have a 2009 iMac 27-inch Core i7 870 (custom processor upgraded. Apple offers i7 860 for this model) with macOS Catalina and works fine with Radeon HD 4850.

My questions are:

Radeon HD 4850 works on 2010 27-inch iMac?

Radeon HD 5670 works on 2009 27-inch iMac?

Update (04/05/2020)

In the past few months I have improved a little on iMacs.

My doubt was basically if it was possible to change the GPU cards of these two iMacs so that Catalina runs in 2010, but I realized that it didn't make sense since in both it is possible to use the same processors and there would be no gain.

But already leaving a comment for those who have doubts and end up in this post. All iMacs A1312 have GPU compatible with each other.

Finally, all A1311 GPUs work on A1312, but not the other way around. Finally I will leave a list of what I could see in my tests

GPUs compatible with A1311 (21.5-inch) Late 2009 to Late 2011 (Edu) except late 2009 with GeForce 9400 stock

Radeon 4670 256MB

Radeon 5670 512MB

Radeon 6750 256MB

Radeon 6750 512MB

Radeon 6770 512MB

GPU compatible with A1312 (27-inch) Late 2009 to Mid 2011

Radeon 4670 256MB

Radeon 4850 512MB

Radeon 5670 512MB

Radeon 5750 1024MB

Radeon 6750 256MB

Radeon 6750 512MB

Radeon 6770 512MB

Radeon 6970 1024MB

Radeon 6970 2048MB

Technically Apple does not support Catania on these older systems.

While there are tools to allow it, it really doesn't make sense if you only have 8GB of RAM on the system and have a HDD as your primary drive.

Changing out the GPU board to one that can support Metal is not trivial! Apple uses a custom version of board which has its own firmware. So you will need to reprogram the boards firmware to allow a non-Apple GPU board to work and depending on which on you may loose functionality like brightness adjustment or Startup Manager or other startup commands.

While a fun project in the long haul its not worth it.
