LCD replacement screen touch is not working while screen is working
Hi, I followed the moto G5 LCD replacement instruction and it went well. Unfortunatly, the screen is working but the touch does not work. I managed to factory reset the phone but no change. I connected back the broken screen by the ribbon connector only and its touch is still working. Is there something I can check (ribbon integrity, connector integrity) that could explain why only the touch feature is not working?

Usually Motorola screens have a small connector on the LCD cable where the Digitizer plugs in. Sometimes reconnecting that will fix touch problems. Since this screen comes with the frame, this connector will not be visible. I recommend getting a replacement screen

Hello Jeff. I found another connector on the LCD cable. Tried to reconnect it but no effect. I guess I just wasn't lucky with my replacement screen. Thanks anyway.
