PS3 turns on for 2 seconds, then dies completely

Hey all,

I know people have asked similar questions, but I haven’t found a really clear answer on a solution to this. Most people have categorized it under YLOD, but I don’t get any yellow lights and so I’m wary to try and repair is as if that isn’t the answer (I’d love to just send the machine in somewhere, but given the current situation, that isn’t an option.)

(Mine is a Super Slim PS3) What happens is: PS3 starts off dead, I press the button once and the red light shows up. I press the button again, the light turns green for two seconds, then I hear a clicking noise and it dies (light goes off). Does this fall under the YLOD? Is it an overheating issue or power supply or something?

(I have already tried reseating the power cable, holding the button for 20 seconds etc, nothing changes and it still does the same thing)
