Corroded connector on MacBook Pro logic board. Possible to replace?

Hi,

I’ve recently been trying to figure out an issue I’ve been having with my Macbook and after taking a close look at the logic board I’ve noticed that a pin or two on this connector is badly corroded away. I think this is what’s causing my issues. Does anyone know if it can be replaced through a microsoldering service and if I can buy this part online?

Yes, the connector can be replaced! I would strongly recommend you replace the cable as well.

Unless you are skilled and have the correct tools to do micro-soldering I would recommend you get your system to someone who specializes in it. They will also have access to the needed parts.

What country and nearest city are you located? Lets see if we can aim you do someone close by.

I am located in Queens New York. Given the current events, I cannot afford to pay $400+ (quote given by Rossman Group) for fixing my computer :(

@james kang - Sorry James, thats what I would have expected for a price in the Big Apple, even here in Boston thats what is charged.
