Acer Aspire E1-571 flickering monitor at regular intervals

Hello,

in my laptop Acer Aspire E1-571, the monitor is flickering at regular intervals, as you can see in the following video:

When laptop is connected to an external monitor or TV (VGA or HDMI), there isn’t any defect.

There is no difference if I move the monitor up and down, it continues flickering at regular intervals.

I can see defect always, during boot or in windows.

Where do you think could be the problem?

I forgot to say that the defect does not change when laptop is running on battery or AC.

Check to see if it also occurs when in BIOS settings area just to eliminate the remote possibility that it may be an OS problem

It sounds though that it may be a loose LVDS cable connection on the motherboard or the display panel or a faulty LCD display panel.

Here’s the ifixit Acer Aspire E1-571 guide. This will help to gain access to the motherboard and the display panel so that the cable connections can be inspected.

The above is only what I think based on your question and not having seen the video because not everybody has a Google account so that your video can be viewed. Try posting the video direct on ifixit. Here’s how to do this. Adding images to an existing question

thank you so much for your quick reply.

I'm sorry, I made a mistake sharing the video, now you should be able to see it.

The screen flickers every about 2 seconds.

The defect is still visible in BIOS settings.

Hi @sergio_78 ,

It looks like either a signal sync problem or perhaps even a backlight problem.

Either way it is the cable connections or the panel although there is a remote chance that it may be on the motherboard where it feeds the laptop screen.

I don't think it is a cable problem in itself as usually if they're damaged it's where they pass through the hinge to get from the motherboard to the display panel and you can start and stop the problem by moving the lid back and forth.

After inspecting the connections are secure etc, as a DIY repair all you can do is temporarily replace the display panel and check the results.
