Why my Mac is displaying so many devices?

Hi everyone,

Few years ago , I replaced the original hard drive of my mac with an SSD and since then, my finder is displaying different devices, 3 in total: My Mackbook pro, Macintosh HD, and remote disc. My Macbook pro device and Macintosh HD seems to have the same content of apps (please see SC attached). Is it normal to have the 3 devices displayed under Finder ? Also, can that explain why new apps installed aren’t working/opening?

Please take a look at this article, which explains what the Remote Disc device is. If you don’t like seeing it in the sidebar, you can remove it by right-clicking and choosing “Remove From Sidebar.” The Linda’s MacBook Pro device may be a separate device connected to your local network that is publicly visible. You should be able to remove it from the sidebar as well if you don’t want to see it there all the time. The Macintosh HD device is your internal hard drive.

Note that the appearance of these devices in the sidebar should not affect the functionality of installed applications.
