This is the 8-inch version of the smaller Fire 7. It includes 1.5 GB of RAM, a faster processor, and an HD display. The Fire HD 8 was released on June 7th, 2017.

Charger must be bent at a certain angle to actually charge device

I’ve tried multiple chargers with it but they all do the same thing. If I want the device to charge, i have to bend the charger toward the screen which could damage the charger and the charging port.

I have no idea what’s wrong with it, so help would be nice :)

I was looking for an easier option and cheaper option for me. The replacement guide for that requires soldering and is labeled very difficult. It also costs 150$+ in tools (for reference the device itself is like 55$). I also don't think I'm in warranty anymore.

You can probably substitute most of the tools for cheaper alternatives
