Hello,
I have a Lenovo Ideapad Y500 with a bad LCD. The OEM one is a mode LP156WF1 (TL)(C1), however, the LP156WF1 (TL)(E1) is way cheaper. The only difference in the model is the E1 at the end.
Anyone knows if they are compatible? Thank you

According to this LP156WF1-TLC1 compatible model list they are not compatible. This is backed up by the LP156WF1-TLE1 compatible model list.
Looking at the panel specifications in the links below there are some differences between them, but the LVDS pinout (which is important) isn’t shown so you may have to get the datasheets for each panel to find out if you want to pursue it further.
These links will get you the datasheets but you have to register with the website to be able to download them. Scroll down the webpage to find the datasheet download section.
You may be able to source a cheaper panel using panel model numbers from the 1st list. Just a thought.
