Why there is a white spot on the screen after replacement?

Hello everyone,

First of all, I would like to introduce myself I am new here and just started repairing iPhones only.

I have a question whenever I replace digitizer of iPhone 6 I can feel a white spot on the new screen which is almost on the upper right-hand corner of the screen. Can anyone help me why it is happening? Thanks in advance

If you’re starting a repair business make sure you’re ordering parts from a reputable supplier. A lot of us will use Mobile Sentrix, Injured Gadgets, and Mobile Defenders. Avoid eBay, Amazon, Craigslist, Wish, and AliExpress for just about everything. If it happens with every phone you’ve repaired odds are it’s an issue with the supplier or you could have something under the screen causing a pressure spot but it’ll typically be yellowish in color rather than white.

And definitely practice and get to know the common issue with devices. It’s a risky business. Success favors preparation. Good luck!

Hi there,

Thank you very much for your response.

The problem with the reputable suppliers is they charge more and customers are not willing to pay higher amounts then you left with no other choice than eBay or amazon.

I totally agree it is a risky business but rewarding too so aim high and keep going.

I appreciate your detailed response once again

@billithekid I and a lot of other repair shops would disagree on that. Your prices *should* be based on your skill and knowledge. Not their budget. You'll go out of business real quick if you're the type that charges two peanuts and a bean for repairs.

I totally agree with you because I spent a lot of time learning this skill and it makes me little disappointed when people are not willing to pay for a quality service but they want a 5-star product!!

I have another question out of curiosity why fewer people are repairing Samsung and why their panels are so expensive? is there anything you would like to suggest me in regards to Samsung repairing because I want to repair samsung flagship phones as well.

@billithekid You won't be able to make everyone happy and not everyone wants to or can afford a quality repair and is best to let them leave. Be patient. When staring a business, focus on the service rather than the sales and the business will come. As far as Samsung, the reason why they're so expensive is because they use OLED panels and are mostly sold attached to a frame. OLED is newer and more expensive. It's really not worth keeping them in stock but if they can wait for the parts, take the full amount up front to order parts. But definitely keep stock on iPhone parts as they're the most popular. Find out what everyone else is charging and charge roughly the same. I know it doesn't make sense, but there's way more devices just in your area that need fixing and you won't be able to handle all of them. It's good to have competition and if you all charge roughly the same price, you'll never go hungry.

Brilliant thank you very much for useful advice I will definitely stay in touch with you.
