I want change my battery and change its thermal paste..
and the repairman broke the phone signal cable connector.. the repairman said water corrode the connection between the cable from the board..
question : can water affect the internal electronic component? can it corrodes the connector? is replacing the motherboard is the answer?

Hello, yes water damage can be the cause of many issues and is unpredictable - including damaged chips and connectors on the logic board. It can also worsen over time. Replacing the logic board should fix the issue, however other parts of the phone may still be affected if water managed to get to the logic board. It is also possible the repairman made an error, but his theory is certainly possible.
