I can't seem to connect it to the TV.

Hello guys. I recently bought a PS2, but i cannot connect it to my Hitachi 4k Smart TV. When i plug the white/red/yellow cables, i can't see it on my “Sources” list. I bought an adapter to make it into HDMI, but when i plug it, nothing happens., It says that there is no signal. :(
