iMac fan and CPU maxed with Kernel job after screen replacement

Hello, I recently replaced my iMac’s screen after the last one had a nasty crack on it. After I got everything together, I fired up the machine and during the POST, the fan started up at full speed, the machine loaded but the CPU was so taxed, everything slowed to a crawl. Upon further inspection, I realized that I neglected to install the monitor temp sensor. I pulled the old sensor off the old screen, installed it in the new one, and fired up the machine again, no affect. Beyond the HD sensor and the Monitor, i’m not aware of any other removable sensors. Not sure what i’m missing. Any advice is more than welcome.

Review Step 25 & 26 iMac Intel 27" Retina 5K Display 2019 Display Replacement I’m suspecting you forgot to transfer the sensor or connect it.

You may want to install this app TG Pro getting the full version will give you deeper details which could also help you figure out and locate what’s going wrong.
