What will happen to my iPhone XS Max with my ripped ear speaker cable?

When I was trying to replace the screen on my IPhone XS Max, I think I tore/ripped the cable on the ear speaker cable. Its not completely detached but it has been torn. Does anyone know what will happen if I continue with the installment of the ripped cable? I was doing some research and people have said that the FaceID won’t work along with the earpiece speaker and front camera. I haven’t tried to replace it onto the new screen yet because I am deciding if I should order a new ear speaker cable or not.
