Ice gets stuck when being dumped into bin

Hi Everyone. I have a Samsung Refrigerator that is about 2-3 years old and I am having this more and more frequent issue with the ice machine. When it goes to dump a batch of ice all/most of the ice gets stuck between the actual ice maker tray part and the wall of the refrigerator, not actually falling into the bin.

I don’t notice this of course until we have used all the ice that was in the bin and the ice dispenser has no cubes left to dispense. I can pretty easily go in with a butter knife and dislodge the stuck pieces to clear the pathway, at which point the ice maker goes back to making ice and dumping it just fine. However, this issue repeats now about once a week. I’ve tried putting the refrigerator into defrost mode and used a hair dryer to melt any frost leftover, but this whole process worked as well as the butter knife, in that the ice maker ran fine for some time after and then a batch got lodged on the way down to the bin.
