I have a kenmore elite top load washer that frequently gives me the uE or UE code. Normally, I can rearrange the clothes and finish the cycle. We used the sanitize setting with NO CLOTHES to clean the washer and continually got the UE code so that we could not even finish the cycle! Please help! Thank you!!

@ttap14 @jayeff it could be the stator that causes this. I had to replace the complete stator in my Kenmore HE3 due to a wore out hub. It would trigger the UE code first only sometimes and then just much more often until it finally would not work at all. I suggest you go ahead and check it out. Post some good images of what you find on the hub and spline. Adding images to an existing question See if it is wore out as well. It is not a terribly complicated job but definitely works better if you can lay your washer on its back etc. Use this Elite HE3 Service Manual to work on your washer. Page 53 part number K201 is what I had to replace. Wasn’t easy to find for my model and you definitely need a big wrench and a big hammer :-)
