Switch Not Turned on for 1yr, New Battery Still No Power, Next Steps?

I received a Switch as a gift a little over a year ago but unfortunately did not have much use for it over my PC so after at most 4hrs of use it ended up in a drawer where it sat until earlier this month I tried to dock it and turn it on to play with some friends. It didn’t turn on and after searching I found a tweet from Nintendo saying if you don’t charge the system every few months the battery will die permanently.

I replaced the battery with the proper model from Amazon but the console still won’t power on. I’ve tried every charging config (docked/undocked, joicons attached/off) for a week with the original battery and weeks at this point with the replacement with no luck. I’ve triple checked that everything is connected and reassembled properly as far as I can tell. What else could be wrong with it? Could being powerless that long have affected the motherboard or something? I have had no luck with any answers past this point in my search. Thank you.
