What kinds of pads and tape are attached to the shield plate?

I have to replace the shield plate for my 1st gen Nintendo Switch, but the replacement plate I ordered from the iFixit store did not include the five square foam pads or three thin white strips along the underside of the plate, or the two strips of black tape along the outer side. It’s just the plate.

Photos should show what I mean. Original plate with pads and stuff is on the left, new plate is on the right.

If I need these extra things, then I don’t know what they’re made of or where to find them. Could anyone please fill me in?

Or hey, if I don’t need them and can safely proceed with installing the new shield plate without them, I’d be grateful if someone could confirm that I’m worrying over nothing.
