Replacing MacBook Air M1 shift key

A shift key on my M1 Macbook felt weird/sticky. I read a guide how to fix a key by taking it of and cleaning it. The taking of and cleaning part went fine, but I have problems placing the key back. I can’t find a guide that show how to do this for the shift key. The shift key seems to have two support bars that is different from the other keys.

Hopefully someone can explain to me how to place the shift key back or knows a guide that shows this.

The older scissor design keys (which the Magic keys are based on) are still a bit tricky as you can damage the key trying to put it back on.

At this point your system is still under warranty!

I would take it into an Apple Store or authorized dealer to let them deal with it.

I wouldn’t over volunteer how it happened or why you might have lifted the keycap off. Just say you pulled it out of the case and found it that way ;-}
