Zeppelin mini plays through usb but not with iPods

I have a Bowers and Wilkins mini that will not play an iPod connected to it but works as a speaker connected to a laptop. I have found no disassembly instructions, but have managed to the bottom plate off similar to the fixit instructions for its big brother. There no other screws I can see to open the base further , just bent tabs that even when straighten do not release the base. The speaker looks to be held on with tabs, but will require significant bending to open up enough to slip up and hopefully off the speaker. I’m hesitant to try as it could break. Has anyone taken one of these apart and knows how to get access to the boards?
