My circle pad has been drifting for a while now, I was wondering if...

I'm just wondering if I can use rubbing alcohol instead of isopropyl alcohol to clean out the circle pad. Can I clean it from the 'outside' or do I need to take the 3ds entirely apart?

  1. Isopropyl Alcohol and Rubbing Alcohol are the same thing.
  2. You can't clean the circle pad components from the inside.
  3. I would recommend replacing the entire joystick assembly.
