Scph-50003 sometimes won't read dvd games

ps2 laser not reading dvd games properly, games try to load then goes back to browser screen but no read error. the laser will move half way up the disc, a light clicking can be heard them goes back to the middle. dvd games will load sometimes but not always. cd games work fine. it does the same thing with a new laser aswell.
