Screen Turns Black randomly
Hey there!
So the story starts this way. My logic board died randomly and I had to replace it. After replacement I got all new computer and while installing the apps back I randomly started to have this black screen, or better said black desktop problems. Took it to the repair shop they said they can’t do anything because they don’t know what is it and how to reproduce it, but that it is most likely software problem. So they have reset NVRAM and all that hustle and the problem persisted. Then they reinstalled the system completely - problem still persisted. Then I created a partition on computer and installed all new system and the problem persisted.
At this point the shop tells me that they don’t know what the problem is and how to reproduce it and therefore there is no problem. I was wondering if maybe someone here have heard of similar issues?
The thing is that the black lines appear completely random. I can open safari they appear or just use zoom and all of the sudden they pop up. This bug appears only in 1 desktop, when switched other ones are clear. Also very interesting when taking a screenshot of the screen it doesn’t detect the black areas and leaves them in “alfa channel”
When connect to external display the issue is more likely to appear in the moment when your screen goes all weird and black for a second >> after that it’s very common for it to appear. Interesting enough it never appears on external screen.
My guess would be some issue with graphic card responsible for the mac screen itself, since it never happens on the other one (which from what I understand uses another graphics)
