I have the same issue after replacing the batteries. Only the right side fan runs at full rpms. I replaced both fans and still the same issue. I wonder if I damaged something on the board related to the right fan. Anyone have any ideas besides buying a new logic board?

See what the onboard diagnostics tells you. Restart your system and press the D key. Let us know if you get any errors.

After running diagnostics the message is this. There may be an issue with the fan reference code PPS004. Additional reference code PPS003.
I have also tried to reset the SMC but it didn’t help.
@kirbybj - Are you sure you wrote the error message correctly? PPS003 & PPS004 are not listed maybe PPT003 PPT004 which are battery errors.

OMG I am so sorry, it is There may be an issue with the fan reference code PPF004. Additional reference code PPF003. I was voice texting and didn't realize. I will install that App CoconutBattery. I need to restore my Mac. I Reset it after having this issue. I was desperate. Give me about an hour to do so. Thank you Dan.

I also saw a Youtube video that showed a component that gets knock off near the edge of the board when changing batteries, Not sure If I did that.
