Why is my charger port breaking my cords?

when i plugged in my device to charge it it started smoking making a horrible smell and when i unplugged it my cord was really hot and black stuff that was not on it before was on it. how do i fix?

Hi! Possibly something is shorting out, causing this to happen, how is the charging port doing after that happened? Is it black as well? The port may need to be replaced, or maybe it can be cleaned?

@poopballs your charging port is connected to your mainboard. Something is shortening out your main board. Check the voltages coming from your charger to ensure it is the right voltage. After that it is time to take a look at your main board. Use these guides to get to is Samsung Galaxy J3 Luna Pro - iFixit Also, get a new battery as well. It is possible that the battery controller may have failed and you're now getting overvoltage to your board. Whatever you do, until you investigated further, you want to not use or charge it since this can make it worse.
