lower speaker not working & sim card intermittently not detected

Samsung phones are pretty fragile!

The speaker not working is probably a connector that's come dislodged/unconnected and the sim card tray not working could be either the actual sim card its self is damaged or the tray has been disconnected in the drop too! Hope this helps.

stuart gaither makes me wonder how it got damaged. Well it’s time to take it apart and check the components according the flowchart. Something like this video should help. Of course, you always need to check connectors and flex as well. Let us know what you find and if unsure, you can always post some pictures with your QUESTION. That way we can see what you see. Sorry, it’s not searchable so you will have to look for the components on the image. If I find a different view I will post it instead.
