Replacement battery won’t charge
I replaced the battery in my MacBook Pro, plugged it in to complete the initial charge and nothing happened. No charge, unable to turn the computer on, nothing.

As recommended, I went to a computer repair person who managed to get the laptop to boot up, for a very fair fee. Having access to the computer allowed me to type in there proper command into terminal, which allowed me to complete the new battery charging/discharging process. All that being done, the computer is now operating perfectly. Thank you for your suggestions and answers. Burke Schmidt

Can you get it to boot up with the power adapter? If you can, let’s get a better view of things, install this gem of an app! CoconutBattery take a snapshot of the apps main window and post it here for us to see Adding images to an existing question
It maybe time to visit a local shop to help you out.

It is not responding to anything at all, no charging, no response to any combination of recommended pressed keys, just inert.
