Accidentally washed it a month ago, tips?

I accidentally washed my ipod in the washer, (found it before I put it in the dryer), and since then, it hasn't been working. I tried to see if itunes would read it, but I got a message that said it couldn't be identified properly.

Now, after a few minutes of playing with it, it finally turns on, but the clicker isn't working at all, and there's no illumination. itunes is able to read it now too.

I need help.

Shoiri Ikatashi, the Nano is a Beast to work on. The guides to work on it are here and I would follow this guide to try and revive it. I do recommend that you change the battery. Hope this helps, good luck and Happy Holidays....:-)
