Where does this power cable I found go?

Right now I’m trying to put my iMac back together after replacing the GPU. However when I took out the logic board before I noticed there was a cable that wasn’t connected to anything. It’s labeled “ICT 2111”. I believe this may have something to do with the power supply to the HDD, but I’m unsure as to where in the HDD it would go.

I sniffed around for a bit and it turns out that that mysterious cable actually goes to the optical drive, not the disk drive. Apologies!***

On the back side of the logic board are the SATA port power & data cable connections. This is a SATA power cable. Here's the port connections

Not sure why someone would use this cable as it looks too short to me to serve the HD drive.

Did someone install a replacement HDD or SSD from the Apple unit? If they did then they where trying to over come the special thermal sensor Apple leverages within the drive for managing the systems thermals.

Sadly you need to install a replacement sensor iMac Intel 21.5" and 27" (Mid 2011) SSD Temperature Sensor to do it right, otherwise the systems thermal management system (SMC) will ramp up the fans and also lower the CPU's clocking.
