I have replaced my 21.5" (mid 2011) iMac's HD and CD Drive and am curious if theses same parts would go in a 27" (mid 2011) iMac of the same year? Any ideas? Just curious about a bigger screen size.....

Both of your drives are SATA as such they will also work in the 27" system. Before you go to such lengths make sure the HDD is still in go shape. If you want your data how about just getting an external case to hold your old drive. Besides, your current HDD in the 27" likely is fine and there is no room for a second 3.5" drive.
As far as your optical drive are you sure your current one needs replacing? I often find the lasers lenses gets dirty and only need cleaning using a clean CD.
