I can see the vizio logo if I use a flashlight when I turn tv on but then it powers off seconds later is this due to a bad main board or bad backlights so i know which to look to replace.

Post some good pictures of your boards with your QUESTION. Let's see if we can assist you. AS you probably already found out, schematics are not available so we will have to see what we can come up with.

fandrade210 could be the main board. Since there are no schematics we will have to try and piece it together. There should be a BLOn connection on your main board. Check the (DC)voltage on that. If the main board does not send the Backlight on signal your TV could be failing it's POST and then turn off.

I have recently bought another main board for this model and installed and still same issue it turns on and i can see it powers on and if I use a light can see the vizio logo on screen but it will turn it self off a few seconds after i turn it on. Could the OS gotten corrupted or even erased and therefore it missing the drivers needed to turn backlights on and due to that it gets critical error and shuts off not sure if thats how the software works lol

@fandrade210 that’s sounds like more than a firmware issue. Your firmware dies not turn the backlight off/on. Usually, if it is the backlight strips, you TV wont turn off. It would have sounds etc. and you can only see the screen if you shine a flashlight against it. If it turns off it gets feedback for missing voltages etc. from a board. In very simplified turns it is the main board that tells the power board to turn on the backlights. If your TV has a LED board then that gets the signal. Can you post a picture that shows all the boards and the interconnect cables? Kind of like a view of what it looks like when you remove the cover.
