Does anyone know how to solve the issue of not being able to receive text messages unless you turn your phone off and then back on and then I get flooded with text messages from the day before

Don't know what else to do. It all started after the software update took place
@Daniel Marzahl If it started after an update, perform a factory data reset on your phone. This reset option is in the Settings app, as well. If nothing works, please call your cellular carrier.
I'm having the same issue after the August 1 update for the A53 on Tracfone (Straight Talk/Verizon). I'm using the Google Messages app and had disabled Chat Features. Re-enabling Chat Features seems to have helped, at least for the past 8 hours. Did you end up doing a factory reset, and did it help?

I'm also having this issue, I've sent the OTP to another mobile device and the code came through within seconds, but when I requested OTP code to be sent to my Samsung phone, no code was sent!
I’m having same issue on my Samsung Galaxy A53 5G, not getting text from my contacts. I can send out but not receive, at leading not with contacts. I get text from doctors office and FedEx etc but not my contacts. So frustrating. I have tried everything!

I get text messages, says they are received, yet don't show up on the screen for up to an hour after showing they were received. Phone us also A53 5G
