Should I try to replace the screen?

Thank you for your quick reply. I don't get any vibration when I turn it on or when I plug it into the charger. The silent switch does not seem to do anything. I'm currently on my computer (which is more like a tablet than a computer) trying to get it to recognize my phone. I don't use itunes so any suggestions on how to navigate that to have it recognize my phone would be helpful. Thank you

@bladams50 What kind of tablet is it? If it's Windows based you can download iTunes, but if it's an android (or ChromeOS), then I'm not sure what you can use. There's software called 3uTools that's often used in lieu of iTunes, but I'm afraid I've never used it myself.

Open the phone very carefully if you can, disconnect the battery then after a minute reconnect it. Don't try and turn the phone on just plug in the charger. If you see a apple logo happy days. If not screw it back together and ask a local shop to try a new screen to see if it works. That would give you an idea on price before laying out any money.

@dadibrokeit i was able to download the app since my computer is windows based. However, the app froze every time i tried to open it. But in the 30 seconds the app was active, i didn't see my phone listed. Thank you for your help.

@strongbow thanks for the info. I may just try that. Any suggestion on a tool to use to open the tiny screws at the bottom? Should I order a special screw driver from amazon?
