Vizio sound bar causing tv to flicker
I got the 2021 V series 5.1 home theater sound bar and it works perfectly fine until later on my tv started to cut out to a black screen then back on. I notice both the speakers and tv cuts out at the same time making me assume something’s going on between the speakers nd tv connecting. I tried a new hdmi cable, plugging it in and out, turning the tv off, resetting it, and switching plugs and no luck besides the flickering not happening for a little bit of time. I don’t know if it’s an hdmi issue or too much plugged in one area considering theres also two game consoles plugged into the same extender. Does anyone have a clue what’s causing this? The tv is a Samsung series 5 in case that’s needed.

Hi,
Is the soundbar plugged into a HDMI ARC port or just a plain HDMI port on the TV? Type of port marked on port itself.
If so try plugging the soundbar into a HDMI port and check if the problem still occurs.

@jayeff It’s plugged into the HDMI ARC port right now because the tv wouldn’t let it work with a normal HDMI port and told me to plug it into the ARC port

OK.
I forgot it needs ARC for the audio to get from the TV to the soundbar using HDMI - Apologies.
Looking at the TV manual try connecting the soundbar to the TV using Bluetooth instead of HDMI ARC
(user manual for Series 5 TV shows it has BT but maybe your particular model hasn't and also I think the soundbar has it as well but I'm not sure as there are a few different V series models)
Just trying to eliminate if it is a HDMI problem or something else.
