How do I get stuff off the hard drive?
Is it possible to get stuff like minecraft worlds off of the hard drive. The xbox is broken but the hard drive is fine. I do have a sata to usb adapter.

Unfortunately you can't. Xbox One and above remains totally unhackable at this point, the data on the drive is useless if the console doesn't turn on.
However the game save data should be automatically backed up to the cloud, just log in the same account on the new console and download everything back.
