1 Is it safe to go back in?

I just replaced the battery on my MacBook Pro 15” Touch Bar 2017 using the magic kit. It was just like diffusing a bomb in the movies, I’ve never tread so carefully. I meticulously followed the instructions and feel 99% confident that I put everything back where and how it should be.
I reset the SMC and zapped the NVRAM. I tried every secret combination of key holding down. I get the chimes but no startup love.
I think the next step is to go back in and check all of connections that I unspudgered and respudgered but the pickle is, I have no way to confirm discharge of the new battery. Unless one of you fine folks has another suggestion, is it safe to go back in?
Much appreciated if you can help. There’s a special place in Hell for the ones who decided to glue these batteries in to begin with.
Please save me from chucking this faithful old girl in the recycling bin before her time.

@lbstgmgr - Got it! We get a lot of Q’s that can confuse without guessing.
