Resetting with an SSD
I recently acquired a new macbook pro 15” mid 2010 on macOS Sierra and it has an SSD upgrade, I would like to completely reset it but I haven’t been able to find much help with this, thanks in advance!

You may want to do this as it tends to be quicker and less likely to fail if your internet connection is slow or not stable. And offers a more thorough install when you reformat the target drive first.
First format the USB drive to GUID with a Journal F/S. Get the OS from here How to download macOS and follow this to convert it to a bootable drive Create a bootable installer for macOS
