Ribbon #3 is very flimsy and I can't slide it back into the connector. After putting phone back together only thing that won't work is earpiece speaker, which ribbon #3 is the connection.

hold the screen in your dominant hand with flex ends downwards, hold the no.3 flex flat against the back of the screen with your thumb and then guide the motherboard half of the phone onto the no.3 flex. I'll try and get a photo of what I mean..but if you can work out how to keep the flex still then it's easier than fiddling with spudgers etc.

I just did this. If you hold the screen at 45, while using the plastic spudger to hold the ribbon down, you can push with the screen back into the slot. Brace the bottom of the iphone with the heel of the palm that is holding the plastic spudger to steady the base as you slide it in.
