Screen has a display but no touch screen after repair.

Hey I've got a Pixel 3a that touch screen suddenly stopped working. I suspect water damage, it was in my pocket during a pretty bad rain storm and after that the touch screen stopped working.

I replaced the screen with a non-genuine part because that's all I could find at the time, and the same issue persisted. I know it was a not genuine part because the colours are different.

My question is if there's another component on the board that could potentially be broken other than the screen? I was thinking about ordering another screen replacement (since iFixit sells genuine Google parts) but I want to see if there's anything else I can do before I pull the trigger, in case that's the issue.
