Samsung A41 doesn't charge with new USB board

Hi, I got a Samsung A41 (SM-A415F) that drives me crazy: It doesn't charge anymore. After reconnecting the USB board, charging was possible for only a short time. I replaced the battery and the phone still doesn't charge. As seen in a video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tm5_fsrA...), measuring between GND and the flex cable brings exactly 5.00 VDC. The board in this device supplies as much as about 7.00 VDC. I bought a new USB board including new flex cable and this provided "naked" 5.6 VDC. After using in the phone, the output voltage also increased to about 7.00 VDC. Is it likely that there's a problem with the power IC (U5005) on the main board?

(Will remove the heatshield to gain more measurements but I have to make sure that the owner has a backup as long as it turns on.)

@thenicnic how are you charging it? By that I mean what do you connect it too. That voltage is definitely something that would make me check U5005. What voltage do you get on your battery connector? What do you mean by this "this provided "naked" 5.6 VDC.? where did you measure that "the output voltage also increased to about 7.00 VDC"

check the fpc connector on the main board, on the a series these seem to fail

As @tech_ni says, the series A connectors are garbage and can cause all sorts of issues.

Absolutely correct, thank you, that was the issue on this device as well.

Vcc didn't lead to the main PBA.

Mechanical issue! I fixed it using a thick copper wire as seen in the video.

5.6 VDC were measured with no other components attached.

Now I still get more than 7 VDC and the phone seems to be all fine with this.

Bit of a pity that I didn't find a replacement FPC connector for this device.

Edit: Oh, should be this one: Will try it if the device fails again.
