I replaced battery, now phone is stuck on Apple screen?

I recently replaced the battery in my iPhone 3GS 8gb. after putting it back together i tried to boot it up but it simply stays at the apple logo screen. i put the phone into recovery mode and even restored it from a backup. But the phone still will not go past the Apple screen.

I even tried swapping the new battery with a battery from another 3GS with a broken lcd. i am getting the same results from both batteries.

HELP!

Any answer to this? I have the SAME problem!

I have done a reset. I did a reset connected to iTunes. I did a restore. All it will continue to do is show the Apple logo screen.

did you just restore it or did you place it in DFU mode as well. Have you tried a program like iReb or iRecovery to kick it out of that loop?

I solved it. The Wire labeled step 3 was not perfectly aligned in the slot. It was off by about 0.5 mm so check it and make sure that it's in there perfectly.

Im currently writing this on the very same phone that I had the problem with. No further issues

Put the phone in DFU mode. Press Home+Power button for about 15 seconds until the screen goes black and then release, the apple logo should appear.

If this doesn't do the trick you may need to perform the same steps while connected to iTunes and it should get you going into recovery mode.

Also, on the Apple screen, have a bit a patience and let it sit a while. During the boot up iOS is also checking for damaged files, etc, and can take a while.

Has happened to me also just last week.

Problem was with me: wrong battery. The 3GS would not accept the battery. (different APN number).

Please check and make sure you have installed the same battery number.

To be absolutely certain install the old battery and watch what happens...

Thank you for the responses. I seemed to have gotten it working again.

I went back in and took the iPhone back apart and re-assembled it again just to make sure that everything was connected properly. I turned it back on and it worked.

My theory is this...everything was connected properly, however the board seemed to have not been seated properly towards the based of the phone. I am guessing that might have caused it to not be grounded properly or something.
