iBook G3. I have fitted a Airport Card. The iBook sees the router (not an apple device but a new router that does work on other devises) and the signal strength is good but i cannot access the internet.
When i connected the iBook to the old dialup years ago i had problems getting the two to talk.
I have IP address for router
router password
Any ideas

If your router is faster than (not backward compatible with) 802.11a/b they wont talk.

It recognised the new router but not the airport extreme.
It took me several weeks to get it to talk to an airport extreme.
