Jay,
There should be a plastic cover on the console near the shifter. Sticking a screw driver in and removing that cover will reveal the brake interlock. Depress that and it should come out of park.
Alternatively, it may be a bad brake switch. Regardless, the first method should get you out of park.

Have someone check the 3 brake lights when you press on the brake pedal, if any of them is/are out, check the fuse for the brake lights and replaced if blown. I had a blown fuse and have to use a key to shift to Drive untill I changed the blown fuse.

I .checked all the fuses and they are good. I can shift it by putting a screwdriver in hole and unlocking shifter,but need to find reason it won't work right
