I've recently recieved this camera, It didn't come with any charging cables so I looked to find one, only to find out that apparently you're supposed to charge the battery externally?
Is this true? Can't I just charge the battery with an AC plug or USB?

@rustern that is correct. This camera will not charge the battery. For that you will need to get an external battery charger. Do not do anything with AC on this camera since that would have catastrophic results.
Replacement chargers are readily available at many places like this
