My daughter's iPad charger port is broken and only charges when you put the plug on an angle, but is really finicky.
I know it needs fixing but Santa is bringing her a new one for Xmas so I'm wondering if there are any tricks to get it to stay charging for the next 9 days without having to get it fixed?

Use a magnifier or microscope to check the pins in the lightning port. Straighten any misaligned or bent pins with a tweezer.

Are you sure it is broken?
If it won't charge, maybe there's just a bit of dust in there.
Try to clean it with cleaning alcohol and a pair of tweezers, but be careful not to bend anything.
