In June 2017 Apple updated its 13" MacBook Air with a newer Broadwell Intel Core i5 processor, resulting in slightly increased performance and battery life.

Can I buy a single key to replace missing key on a 2017 Air Book

My daughter's 2017 Air Book (A1466 EMC 3178 is missing a single key, the RT ARROW key, lower right key on the pad. I'm not positive if this is a Mac Unibody or Butterfly, I can upload a photo if necessary. Also, if it is replaceable, I don't see the part listed in the IFIXIT Parts for the machine, any idea where I might locate the key? Thanks.

Indeed there are vendors who specialize in selling keys for all kinds of laptops. The last time I needed one I got it from laptopkey.com, but there are quite a few sellers you can find with a fairly simple internet search, including eBay. The one I'm talking about has a page specifically for your laptop and it shows the two different kinds of keys available and tells you how to figure out which one you need.

Hopefully that'll get you going! Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

It is probably a better & cheaper Idea just to buy a replacement keyboard so you have spares of all of them and follow the guide on keycap replacement so you don't accidentally snap them as it is a bit tricky especially with the smaller keys. Shop around I am sure you'll find a cheap one somewhere, The Bookyard would be a good start, All 2015-2017 13" models have the same keyboards.
