MBA battery charge drain with no activity

Yesterday I've noticed a strange thing with my MBA 13.6 M3. I usually when at home or don't need to move, I leave the magsafe attached and it will. be usually green. When I come back yesterday from work, I've noticed the green was orange and the battery was at 80%, but whan I closed the lid beafor go to work in the morning the battery was at 100%. I've waited until the battery comes back to 100% during this night and today I found the battery at 87%!

Why this occur? Is there something wrong with my MBA?

It maybe slightly lower than the likely normal capacity for a new laptop, but this can be about normal. How long does it take to fully drain from a full charge?

из

I'm not sure about but it will mantain the charge for 1 day. Iusually leave the magsafe attached when possible so I've just used 33 cycles of charge. My forst MBP mid 2014 after the same time of usage had the battery a lot used but with more charging cycles

@ziobru ! day is way to less.... @danj thoughts?

из

@livfe it depends what usage I do. but I think it's ok for a laptop.?

из

@ziobru Yes, if your on it most of the day then you can expect the battery to drain faster, but if not used and the laptop was in sleep mode then overnight around 2% or a little more maybe.....

Try to install coconutBattery and post a screenshot of the battery information and we can go from there. It maybe a good idea to also include the (About this mac, system report, power tab info) to compare side by side.

@livfe - I would use use Activity Monitor to see what’s running. Either a process is running chewing power or there is a tracker running spying on you.

из

@danj Yes, I was going to get onto that, shut down the laptop and reboot it then open the Activity Monitor and let it be a few minutes then post a screenshot of what is going on.

из

@livfe - I would do a couple of hours with the log and even the power graphing setup is a second window side by side.
