Found multiple interfaces from terminal. ifconfig -a
Tried to delete through the settings, then through multiple commands from terminal. Did a soft reset, then a format of the hard drive and still have interfaces installed. Even did a full NEW install, the interfaces are still there and they are NOT the default interfaces.

If you share the complete list of what you're seeing, I may be able to give more input, but on a similar Intel Mac of the same vintage, I count 15 interfaces when running ifconfig -a . Here's a StackOverflow post which explains some of them, and may be helpful. The machine may only have a few physical interfaces (WiFi, bluetooth, 4x Thunderbolt, etc...) but MacOS does some multiplexing under the hood.

What is interesting is ap1 interface is doing multicast DNS. What is weird is Wireshark got install in .Trash folder, then I was not able to update it because it was in a read only folder, yet the folder was not found, even in the hidden folders. Hence the full re-install of MAC OS.
