The Olympus OM-1 was released in 1972 as a revolutionary 35mm SLR, offering a professional-grade, fully mechanical system in a body significantly smaller and lighter than the competition. It featured a bright viewfinder and unique controls, such as the shutter speed dial located around the lens mount rather than on the top plate.

Shutter is stucl & film doesn't advance

The shutter is stuck mid cycle. The film advance lever moves normally, but does not advance the film. Also, the shutter button cannot be depressed, Can this be easily and inexpensively fixed?

@davidkoch27704 let's start off by having you look through the service manual. Olympus OM 1 For the film advance, take a look a the explosion drawings and see how the gears etc. are attached. After that, check page 26 and move onward with that. Let us know what you find.
