OM-D E-M1 II Screen Blackout
My OM-D E-M1 II has started to having an intermittent fault where the screen blacks out but everything else is working.
It seems that the shutter is stuck. If I dismount the lens or remove the battery this can immediately rectify it. The camera will function again until the next time which could be 10mins or 2 weeks Weird.
Anyone have any idea what this fault is.

What is the state of the battery when this happens? Do you have a second battery set which is charged to swap in when it gets hung.

Hi Dan, thanks for the reply. I don't know what the state of the battery is when the screen blackout happens. Never thought to pay attention to it. I have been using the camera today on and off and the screen blackout has never happened once. But that's the way it goes. I have 3 batteries for this camera and will pay attention to the battery level the next time it happens. Thanks

Hello Mr. Hardwaremann,
the camera hasn't been exposed to any water or humidity damage and the battery contacts are all good.
Thanks,
Stephen

I have noticed that the screen blackout happens less often with a fully charged battery. I inserted a battery with 28% charge and the screen started to blackout a lot. The battery went to 24 % and then to Battery Empty with no incremental diminishingment of battery charge status.
Also I am not so sure upon further inspection if the screen blackout is a stuck shutter. There is a possibility it is the eye sensor that is blacking out.
