I can buy this phone. does it sound repairable?

I can buy this phone from a girl who dropped it. After she dropped it the phone couldn't find a network anymore. She asked T-mobile and was told to do a recovery.

When she did this the phone got stuck and it is now stuck at the connect to itunes icon. When the phone is connected to the pc it does not respond.

How difficult will this repair be? she was able to start the recovery so the phone should be recognized.

I can buy it off her for 350euros(no visible marks and 4 months old).
